STATEMENT

This work differs from the finalist entry in the Loewe Craft Prize and the earlier Fink award entry not only through the colour and material combination but more importantly through the increased angles and off sets in the sidewall panels. This change allows a stronger reflection from the base to the side wall.

The vessel form is a continuation of the segmented tray and vessel forms that I have investigated since 1985, with the major change in the development of this work being the replacement of the heavy carved aluminium sides through thin and light titanium panels.
