About
The MAKE Award: Biennial Prize for Innovation in Australian Craft and Design is a major new national craft and design innovation award initiated by Australian Design Centre.
With the support of a generous donor, Australian Design Centre decided to extend its support for the contemporary craft and design community by championing this national award.
The aim of the MAKE Award is to acknowledge the richness and diversity of creative talent in craft and design practice in Australia.
The MAKE Award is unique in Australia but is inspired by international award programs such as the Burke Prize, offered by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, and the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
Brand design for the MAKE Award is by Stephen Goddard.
